Name the components in the scope
An FCU may have filters, a coil, fan assembly, drain pan and outlet, controls and connected ductwork. Cleaning one component does not establish the condition of the others. Ask the quote to distinguish accessible surfaces, planned disassembly and sections excluded because access is insufficient.
A complaint of weak airflow also needs context. A dirty component, a restricted return path, a damaged connection and a control issue can require different work. Cleaning should be selected because of the observed condition and agreed scope, rather than used as an automatic diagnosis for every cooling complaint.
Access changes the job
The model and installation determine whether a wheel can be reached in place or needs removal, and what protection and isolation are required. These decisions belong to the technician using appropriate equipment information. A generic chemical, water pressure or dismantling sequence is not suitable for every FCU.
Ask how surrounding finishes and electrical components will be protected and how the unit will be reassembled. If the ceiling opening permits filter removal but not fan access, that limitation should appear before work begins. A low cleaning price without an access assumption is difficult to compare meaningfully.
What the JVT evidence shows
DENAIR's JVT field image shows a removed fan wheel before service. The related record reports washing and insulation work, while joint sealing and a grille order remained separate follow-up items. The photograph supports the disassembly and component context; it does not prove that every connected duct or room was accepted.
This is different from a coil-surface photograph. Both can be authentic job evidence, but they document different parts of the service. Keep the component identity and stage in the caption rather than presenting unrelated before-and-after images as a performance comparison.
Agree the checks after reassembly
Request a report naming the components actually serviced, protection or access limitations and the relevant operating checks. A visibly clean coil does not prove that the fan is balanced, a drain is clear or the control response is correct. Those checks should be identified separately where included.
If noise, leakage or weak cooling remains after the cleaning scope, record the symptom and arrange the appropriate investigation. Do not convert a completed component clean into a guarantee of whole-system performance, eliminated mould or a health outcome. The next action should follow the remaining finding.
Keep this evidence with the enquiry
Filter, coil, wheel, pan, drain and duct boundaries listed.
Model-specific access and disassembly assumptions agreed.
Actual components serviced and reassembly checks recorded.
Remaining symptoms and separately approved repairs retained.
