A pre-start coordination sheet
Dependency | Responsible party to confirm |
|---|---|
Installed equipment and connections | HVAC installer and project lead. |
Power availability and protective circuit | Qualified electrician or building operator. |
Controls, drainage and access | Relevant contractor and building team. |
Manufacturer start-up procedure | Qualified commissioning technician. |
Open site works and permits | Project manager. |
At SpaceHUB, the request included measurements and installation of three air conditioners (8188). A later field note found three phases absent at the panel because of a broken connection from the main panel (10067). That connection needed restoration before start-up. The team subsequently reported site work complete with a refrigerant top-up (16517), but the record does not establish long-term operation or transfer responsibility for the electrical repair to the HVAC team.
Record the boundary at handover
Ask for separate entries for power confirmed, equipment ready, start-up performed, applicable checks recorded and outstanding defects. If power or controls are unavailable, note who must restore them and reschedule the affected test. Do not instruct occupants to work in the panel or ask the HVAC crew to bypass a missing phase. A “ready for start-up” tick is useful precisely because it does not pretend that the later operating check has already happened.
