Compatibility questions for the survey
Item | What the installer needs to establish |
|---|---|
FCU and controller | Exact model, supply and available control terminals. |
Fan operation | Number of speeds and how they are selected. |
Valve and modes | Which heating/cooling functions and actuators the system actually uses. |
Cabling and power | Existing conductors, power provision and permitted interface equipment. |
User functions | Which features can be supported and which will remain unavailable. |
At Port de la Mer, the team coordinated grille positions, access hatches and control cabling with the other contractor (13761, 13844). Later messages record connected Nest controllers, app configuration and labelled rooms (15941), followed by a check that allowed that recorded scope to close (16228). This is a specific installation sequence, not proof that any Nest model will operate any FCU.
Agree an acceptance demonstration
Ask the installer to document the matched models and any interface components, then demonstrate the supported modes and fan speeds in each room. Request a labelled room list and basic handover instructions for the app and local controls. If a function cannot be demonstrated, record it as open rather than describing the whole system as verified. Electrical connection details belong with a qualified installer, not a homeowner wiring guide.

Golden Mile fan-coil installation context. Thermostat compatibility requires model and wiring checks.
